Group or Partner Lessons can be arranged upon request.
Lesson Fees are payable one term in advance and are due by the first lesson of each term. Accounts for each new term will be emailed at the end of the previous term. The payment of fees in advance ensures a student's place at the Studio each week and allows 100% of the lesson time to be devoted to teaching.
The length of the term is dependent on the day the student attends for lessons and may include 9, 10 or 11 weeks depending on school and public holidays. The school term, as set by the New South Wales State Education Department, is taken into account when allocating lesson times for the year.
Accounts will include fees for the term, any music purchased and any examinations or competitions booked. Fees may be paid by cash or direct deposit.
Each student $30.00 p.a.
The Resource Fee is payable once a year at the beginning of term 1. Students enrolling for the first time will be charged the full amount when enrolling in terms 1 or 2 and will be charged half the amount if enrolling in terms 3 or 4.
What Do Fees Really Pay For?
Whilst lesson fees are based on an individual's lesson time it should be realised that this is only for convenience. What you are paying for is your reserved place at the Studio regardless of whether you come for your lesson or not.
Depending on the age and experience of the student fees will cover such things as:
teacher’s time spent on lesson planning;
teacher’s time spent considering and purchasing music for students;
teacher’s time spent arranging enrolments for examinations and competitions;
student’s attendance at group lessons;
student’s use of computer software, iPad apps, CD's and games;
maintenance and purchase of pianos, computers, ipads and recording equipment; and
other miscellaneous items/activities.
The resource fee is used to cover the cost of photocopying, printed materials, incentives given out to students throughout the year, subscriptions for music and apps.
